Blessing the Foundation

Sunday, February 1st, 2009 The foundation is laid for the new and improved chapel from Pt. Reyes. It was brought up last summer and construction is underway to rebuild it and enlarge it here. The new church will be dedicated to St. Sergius of Radonezh, patron of the former church, and St. Eugene, patron of the property in Pt. Reyes, and St. John, the patron of our brotherhood. Until completion, we will continue services in the main hall of our living quarters.

Here pictured is the procession from the main hall to the new site. Hymns to the patrons saints were sung with Psalms and prayers for the dedication of the temple.
